The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Mr. Yacine Mehdi Oualid, presided on Thursday, November 6, 2025, over the opening ceremony of the 10th edition of the International Fisheries and Aquaculture Exhibition, “SIPA 2025,” organized by the Algerian Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, and placed under the high patronage of the President of the Republic.

The city of Oran is hosting the activities of this important event from November 6 to 9, 2025, with the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honor for this edition.

The SIPA Exhibition is considered one of the most important economic and scientific events in Algeria and the region. It is an annual meeting point bringing together professionals, investors, researchers, and start-ups, both national and foreign, with the aim of strengthening cooperation, exchanging experiences, and promoting the fisheries and aquaculture sector, in line with the national guidelines for the development of the blue economy.

This edition brings together 180 exhibitors, including 25 foreign companies representing 17 countries, among which are Spain, Italy, Turkey, Tunisia, and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as Bangladesh, which is participating for the first time.

The exhibition also registers the professional presence of several visiting countries such as Qatar, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Romania, Norway, Senegal, Nigeria, and Japan.
